Directions by Subway:
Take the 1/9 train to 116th Street. Exit on the east side of the street and walk across Columbia's main campus to Amsterdam. Turn left and walk two blocks north to West 118th Street. From there you cross Amsterdam, walk half a block and the entrance International Affairs Building will be on your right. Enter and take the elevators to the 10th floor (you will be entering on the 4th floor). Then exit the elevators and walk east into the east wing of the economics department. The seminar will is in room 1027.
Directions by Cab:
Tell the cab driver you are going to 420 West 118th Street between Morningside Drive and Amsterdam Ave. in Manhattan by Columbia University. If the cab driver doesn't know where this is, get in another cab.

From LaGuardia: Yellow cabs run on the meter and will run about $25. For more info on LaGuardia transportation, go to http://www.panynj.gov/aviation/lgaframe.HTM.
From Newark: Yellow cabs run on the meter and will run about $65 including tip and toll. From Newark, you can also take the AIRTRAN to New Jersey Transit or the Path Train into Penn Station in Manhattan and then take the subway anywhere in Manhattan from there. From Penn Station: Follow signs to the subway and take the 1/9 train uptown to W 116th Street. (See above directions by subway.)
From Grand Central Station: Take the S Shuttle (gray colored) to Times Square. From there take the 1/9 train uptown to W 116th Street. (See above directions by subway.)
