The Town Hall Project is an effort to create a suite of open-source applications for local governmental administration. Too many governmental applications are dependent on proprietary software that needs to be periodically updated or discarded by private vendors at tremendous cost. We'd like to change that, and have a solution that's indefinitely free and easy to set up.
We're looking for a model town to start developing some basic tools, and for forming an initial set of basic legal requirements to guide future development.
