Computer Sales @ Columbia

In addition to an institutional purchasing program for departments, Columbia provides programs to help students, faculty, and staff make personal purchases of computers and software conveniently and reasonably. Apple and Dell offer individuals the same corporate discounts provided to Columbia departments. Other personal discounts are also available from certain other University vendors through Purchasing's Preferred Vendor List.

Apple Store for Higher Education

Columbia students, faculty, and staff can buy direct from Apple on-line or by mail-order for delivery to your campus package address or a home or other off-campus address.

The Apple Store links require a valid Columbia UNI and password.
Entering students without an active UNI:
Email or call Ronnie Peters at Apple (ronnie_peters@apple.com, 646-256-9421) for special pricing and directions for ordering.

Individuals: Visit the Apple Individual Store or call 1-800-800-2775, option 2,1.

Departments: Visit the Apple Institution Store. You can also call 800-800-2775x46907 or email Heather Patrick at hpatrick@apple.com to create a PO proposal.

  • Option 1
    If you want to custom-configure your Mac with extra memory or a larger hard drive, or to add software or other peripheral devices, use this option.
    1. Select your laptop from the tile on the front page of the store.
    2. Configure.
    3. Don't forget to add 3-Year AppleCare Protection Plan.
    4. Click Add to Cart to see your Promo Savings discount.
  • Option 2
    If you're purchasing just the Mac and 3-Year AppleCare Protection Plan, use the Quick Checkout option.
    1. Look for the Recommended Systems tile in the upper-right corner of the store.
    2. Choose your Mac bundle (pre-configured with 3-Year AppleCare Protection Plan).
    3. Click Add to Cart to see your Promo Savings discount.
