Current System Status

The status of campus computer systems, labs, and campus networks as of Thursday, July 2nd at 10:30am is as follows:

Starting early this morning, the main Columbia homepage was being served by our backup provider due to problems on our own web servers. As a result of that, some customers have been unable to view the main Columbia page at different times through the morning. The majority of customers unable to view the main Columbia web-pages are off-campus customers. Some problems with our servers have been corrected, but there are still intermittent on-going service problems and the system administrators are still investigating.

On Wed July 1st a number of phonemail customers were affected by a telecom equipment failure. As a result of such failure phonemail was temporarily inaccessible for some customers. Affected customers have been notified via an alert mail.

There are no other known issues with the campus systems or the campus networks at this time.
