High Speed Networking in your Office

CUIT provides you with high-speed network access in 65 campus buildings. The fiber-optic based network on the Morningside Heights campus is designed and managed by CUIT. You are not required to register to get connected via high-speed Ethernet on the Morningside Campus. You may request additional jacks for your office or department. Installation cost for additional connections(300 foot limit): $55

High Speed Networking in Faculty/Staff Apartments

Columbia University Information Technology (CUIT) is in the process of completing a multi-year project to install switched 100 megabit per second Ethernet into all Morningside Heights University Apartment Housing buildings.

Your University-owned apartment can be connected by request. For wiring schedules and further information see Networking in Apartments.

Installation cost per jack: $175 (waived if you sign up at the time of initial wiring)
Ongoing cost per jack: $40/mo
