- DataStream
DataStream is a large database of statistical time series covering stocks, bonds, commodities and economic data for numerous countries, along with company profiles. Note: DataStream can be used only on-site in either DSSC/EDS or the Business and Economics Library. - Wharton Research Data Service (WRDS)
WRDS is a comprehensive database of financial, economic, and marketing data sources. Key components include Computstat, CRSP, OptionMetrics. Note: WRDS can be used only on-site in either DSSC/EDS or the Business and Economics Library. The WRDS information page gives more details about its components. -
International Financial Statistics (IFS)
IFS is a standard source of international statistics on all aspects of international and domestic finance. The IFS reports time series data for most countries for a wide variety of financial indicators (exchange rates, interest rates, prices, production, international transactions, government accounts, national accounts, etc.). Note: a PC-applciation version is available for use on-site DSSC/EDS. The CD-ROM version is best for large extractions. Selected IMF statistics are reported in key databases for international statistics: WDI Online, and the UNdata website. - Bloomberg
An database providing current and historical financial quotes, business newswires, and descriptive information, research and statistics on over 52,000 companies worldwide. For search help see our Bloomberg Help Guide. Note: Bloomberg can be used only on-site in either DSSC or the Business and Economics Library. - Global Development Finance (GDF)
GDF contains very detailed information on debt in developing countries. It reports data on resource flows, financial indicators including workers remittances, external debt stocks, debt flows (amortization of principal, interest payments,) restructuring (forgiveness and arrears) and more. Note: GDF can be used only on-site in the DSSC/EDS. -
SourceOECD and
OECD.Stat
SourceOECD and the newer interface, OECD.Stat includes a number of interactive statistical databases and tables. These can be identified by searching DataGate for the word "sourceoecd" or by going the Statistics page on the SourceOECD site and either browsing the OECD databases or searching the descriptions. The databases include Bank Profitability, National Accounts, International Development Statistics, Institutional Investors Statistics, International Direct Investment Statistics, and more. -
EIU Country Data
Provides annual economic indicators and forecastes for data categories include economic structure, foreign payments, external debt stock, external debt service, external trade, trends in foreign trade, quarterly indicators. - Selected Internet Resources
