   (Note:  from looking at the record layout file, it appears that POD96A
           and POS96B are two parts of what was once a single file.
           It's been divided by variables.)

   Merged files created in Stata:

   pod96_ab.dta                 46.4 MB   Merge of pod96a and pod96b
   pod96_despod_merged.dta      47.8 MB   Merge of pod_merged with despod96
       (Note:  there are two mismatches due to duplicate "identitas2"
        codes  (3273140005 and 7302020015)  These differ in codes "status"
        and "b1r5".   Both matched to status=2.
