Summary:

This study contains ethnographic data on 103 variables for the sixty cultures in the probability sample files (PSF). The PSF is a bibliographically controlled cross-cultural sample of distinct societies representing major cultural regions worldwide. The compilation of these codes is intended to facilitate the use of cultural data in social science teaching and research. The topics include: religion, demography, warfare, social problems, cultural complexity, social change, and social organization.
