Summary:

The Econ97Z CD-ROM contains NAICS-based data for the US and by State and ZIP Code for 9 of the 18 sectors from the 1997 Economic Census. (These 9 account for 70% of all employees.) For each detailed NAICS industry present in each ZIP code, the count of establishments with paid employees in several employment-size categories, and, except for manufacturing, in several receipts-size categories. Note that unlike Zip Code Business Patterns tax-exempt establishments are not reported in all sectors.
