Contents
This page explains how to access a special private mailbox in the Cyrus Public Folders, in various mail clients.

CUBMAIL

CubMail is the most readily available way to access Public Folders.
On the upper right next to"Open Folder", click on the folder list dropdown. At the bottom of the list is a "Public Folders" hierarchy, and within that a "private" subfolder (visible only to affected users). Within private, there will be a mailbox with your username on it, e.g. "abc5432". If you select that folder, it will bring up your new mail, and you can read it normally.

OUTLOOK

(Users accessing Exchange should not need to see the special private folder; these directions assume Outlook configured to access Cyrus mail.)

Right click on the header for your account on the left hand side of the screen, where all the folders in your account are listed; click "Imap Folders..." and click "Query" in the "All" tab; find the Public Folders/private/username folder on the list, select it and hit subscribe.

APPLE MAIL

In the Mailbox list, generally on the left, look for a Public Folders folder. Within that, look for private and the folder within that with your username.

THUNDERBIRD

Thunderbird will give a cannot complete operation error. Users should use CubMail instead.
