Room Picture

Located on the fifth floor of the Schermerhorn building, this room contains a wide array of audio/video and remote control components. This large lecture hall contains 210 seats arranged in a semi-circular coliseum style layout. Bench seating accomadates 25 more students in the rear of the room. The room is furnished in a modern fashion with gray cushioned seats. The instructor's equipment is enclosed in a stationary wooden media cabinet, providing permanent housing of the audio/video equipment.

Instructor's Media Cabinet

The equipment available to the instructor includes an Eiki LCD Projector housed in a cabinet in the rear of the room. There are four projection screens in the room. Video is displayed on a 7'-3" X 9'-4" electric screen. Dual slide projectors utilize a 13'-6" X 18' electric screen. Two 8' X 8' manual auxilary screens are also available. The media cabinet contains the various electronic resources available to the instructor. These include a Power Macintosh G3, Sony VCR, Sony DVD player, and Elmo EV 500 Document Reader. The Power Macintosh is connected to the campus Ethernet and the world wide web.

A room customized touchpanel controls the multimedia experience, including the audio/visual equipment and the physical room environment (lighting, program volume, speech volume).
