I thought single sign-on meant you only had to log in once. Why did I get prompted to log in again?

I thought single sign-on meant you only had to log in once. Why did I get prompted to log in again?


As a security precaution you may be prompted to log in again if: (1) the application you want to access doesn't support single sign-on (not all do right now), (2) if you are timed out of a secured application, (3) you have not recently used one of the secured applications, (4) you have closed and reopened your browser window.
