CUIT Windows Vista Support Policy

On September 6, 2007, CUIT will begin providing support to people with systems running certain editions of the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system. CUIT will provide support for systems running Vista as long as:

One of the following editions of Vista was pre-installed on your computer

Windows Vista Home Premium
Windows Vista Business
Windows Vista Ultimate

or...

One of the above editions of Vista was installed as a Clean Install *

* Clean Install: installation of Vista performed after the removal of all previously installed operating systems, programs, and files

IMPORTANT! Do you use Columbia University Enterprise Applications?

Windows Vista has NOT yet been certified for use with any enterprise applications at Columbia.

If you use any Columbia University applications such as FFE, InfoEd, or PAC, you should NOT upgrade or purchase a new Windows Vista system. CUIT continues to test our applications with Vista and will announce certification as soon as testing is complete.
