Font Images for Web Documents

AcIS has created a series of GIF images that can be used to display special characters in your web documents. Simply insert an <img> tag in your document where you want the special character to appear. We currently have GIF sets for the Greek alphabet and the International Phonetic Association (IPA) font.

The GIFs in our collection are 12 point and 14 point. Other fonts may be added in the future. Select one of these links to see the font sets:

12 point GIFs

14 point GIFs

Use the align=absbottom attribute to make these GIFs line up with the rest of your text. Use the border=0 attribute so that your GIF is not surrounded by a blue box when it's part of an anchor tag, e.g.:

<img alt={Theta} src="/acis/fonts/14pt/greek/THgr.gif" align=absbottom border=0>

The greek fonts are at this location:

/acis/fonts/14pt/greek/

and the IPA fonts are here:

/acis/fonts/14pt/ipa/
