About AcIS R+D
The Academic Information Systems Research and Development (AcIS R+D) group creates new information services and tools for information delivery. Our developmental projects range from technical initiatives involving web usage (security, applications, measurement statistics, collection management, etc.) to the creation of a wide variety of digital content (text, image, and multi-media). Our services and collections are at the forefront of the University's Digital Library. We are creating vehicles for networked scholarly communication, developing federated services with peer institutions, and participating in national and international standards efforts. We are building infrastructure to dramatically expand these online information resources, while continuing to answer questions raised both by these technologies and by their use.
