Tanya Rabourn

At Columbia, with R+D, Tanya develops and deploys key usability metrics and processes, provides information architecture solutions and designs interfaces. In addition, she normalizes metadata and optimizes third party search tools for select Digital Library projects. Tanya also consults with academic units to assist in constructing Web service solutions, writes documentation to support creation of University web sites and formulates Web site publication policies.

Tanya serves on the Columbia Library Web Steering committee and is a member of its usability subcommittee. She is also active in the New York City New Media community as a member of the NYC IA Salon, an informal group of seasoned practitioners and educators who gather on a monthly basis to exchange ideas and support one another. She also serves as co-producer of "A List Apart," a weekly Web publication for people who build the web.

Tanya holds an MLIS from the School of Information at The University of Texas, Austin and a BA in Art History and Archaeology from The University of Missouri at Columbia.
