Access

If you have registered and paid for access to CSLG PAKs, the links below allow you to download the PAK databases for VMS and UNIX/OSF/Ultrix.

Each link is accessible only to those SysAdmins who have registered and paid for the CSLG for their systems for that operating system. You will need to do a separate Web login separate for each OS.

(Please use one of the Web "Logout" links below, or exit Netscape, when finished. Otherwise, anyone with access to your workstation will be able to access these secure resources.)

Terms and Conditions
  • You are bound by the CSLG terms.
  • You may use the PAKs only on the systems you registered for the CSLG.
  • For the latest Campuswide Software License Grant (CSLG) Terms and Conditions and the software licenses included, please visit Compaq's CSLG Web Site.
Download

Access to the two Operating System's downloads is provided separately. To download files for more than one OS, you will be required to logout and then log in again.

Use your UNI (University Network ID) to log in.
  • Lookup your UNI. If you haven't used a Columbia secure Web site before, Netscape users may need to work through a Netscape "wizard" in order to accept the Columbia site certificate. To do this click on the wizard's "Next" buttons after you select one of the secure links below. Along the way choose the option to "Accept this ID forever (until it expires)".

Installing PAKs

The PAKs are distributed by DEC as a UNIX shell or VMS command script called reg_paks.csh or REG_PAKS.COM. Each of these is accompanied by a menu script which will display the readme, terms, and register all the PAKs. Please note that these scripts have not been tested, so use them with CAUTION. Read the instructions carefully. If you do not understand the script(s), enter the PAKs you need by hand.
