Symantec AntiVirus
Symantec AntiVirus is a virus and spyware scanning program developed by Symantec Corporation. CUIT has purchased a site license for Symantec AntiVirus. If you are a Columbia University, Barnard, or UTS faculty, staff or student, you can download and install Symantec AntiVirus. You can also acquire a CD in 202 Philosophy for $10.
Columbia departments may be interested in the site-license for the LAN/Server Corporate edition.
(Current faculty, staff, and students of Columbia University, Barnard, or UTS are eligible to download. Teachers College affiliates must download antivirus software from Teachers College Computing.)
- Download the installer (required UNI login):
- Save the installer to your hard drive, and make a note of the folder that you saved it in.
- Run the installer. Restart your computer.
- Configure Symantec AntiVirus for Windows using these instructions.
- To upgrade, follow the download and installation instructions above.
