Adding the Columbia Directory
- Select Address Book from the Tools menu.
- From the File menu, select New --> LDAP
Directory.
- With the General tab selected, enter Columbia
Directory for the name, and ldap.columbia.edu for the
hostname. Click OK.
- Quit and re-start Thunderbird. The Columbia Directory will now be
listed along with your personal address books.
If you want Thunderbird to look people up in the Columbia Directory
when you start typing their addresses into the To: field of a new
mail message...
- Select Options from the Tools menu. (Note: On the Macintosh, choose Preferences from the Thunderbird menu.)
- Select Composition. Select Directory Server in the
Address Autocompletion section and select Columbia Directory from
the drop-down menu. Click OK.
