 Windows 7 Enterprise

Software > Windows 7 Enterprise

Windows 7 Enterprise is a Microsoft operating system. An upgrade to this operating system is available to those eligible under the terms of a campus-wide license agreement with Microsoft Corp. to various groups at Columbia. This product can be installed on eligible systems used for your Columbia-related work.

If you need help with this software after installing it on a home computer, please get support from a third-party service provider in your local area. One option is a company called Techs in a Sec, with whom Columbia has arranged a discount.

Note: Currently, administrative applications are not certified to run on Windows 7. Additionally, Windows 7 is only an install supported product; CUIT does not support Windows 7 functionality at this time.

Eligibility
Eligibility to download Microsoft Windows 7 Enterprise is generally limited to University officers, support staff and faculty, with exceptions for specific graduate/professional students (e.g., Business School, CUMC and SIPA). If you are not eligible, you will not be able to download the installer and will be redirected to a page with additional information. For more information, please visit our Microsoft Campus Agreement information page.

Computer Requirements
Please make sure your computer meets the necessary requirements to install Windows 7 Enterprise.

  4. After the ISO has been recorded, start your computer using the DVD you just burned.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation/configuration of Windows 7.
