Windows Server Management

CUIT has built a multitiered and cost-effective service to help departments with Microsoft Windows server support requirements.

A distinctive feature of the service is the ability to purchase just the amount of server support you need. We can assist your department in determining the correct server size and configuration. We can install your server in the Computer Center for optimum safety and infrastructure support. Our experienced team can configure, maintain, and manage the server for your department or you can just choose the enterprise-quality Backup Service Our server management services can help you reduce the total cost of owning a Microsoft-based server.

Below is an overview of the types of service you can choose if you would like CUIT to manage your server for you.

Server Installation Service - $1,200 (one-time fee)

Assistance in choosing the correct hardware to support the application
(you purchase the server)
Assembly, racking, and testing of the server hardware
Installation and configuration of the operating system and other systems software
Installation of tape backup and antivirus software
Installation of remote monitoring software and hardware
Installation or assistance in the installation of application software

Computer Center Racking Fee - $100 per month

You install the rack-mountable server in the Computer Center
Professional environment: 24 x 7 x 365 climate-controlled space
UPS service for the server
Emergency generator in case of power failure

Server Maintenance Service - $200 per month (includes racking fee)

Monitor hardware and software operation 24 x 7 x 365 (Unscheduled service: $120 per hour)
Operating system; antivirus, system software; drivers patched, upgraded, as needed
Emergency electrical fail over service
Hardware upgraded if required, includes disk space and memory (you purchase the equipment)
Upgrading and patching of application software, if needed
Backup service (based on amount of data)

Backup Service - $100 per month for 4 GB ($10 per GB additional)

Backup of Microsoft Windows servers (server must be in the Computer Center)
Robotic backup system with multiple redundant drives
Fast server-based recovery of recent files
Multi-version data recovery from tape
