Convert signal strength to numbers Type ALT+nmll Measured in amount of signal lost; -40 is perfect, -256 is no coverage
Reboot! Type Shift+ALT+DEL This is a soft reboot, you can also just remove the battery
Secure your data! Options/Security Options/General Settings/Change Password to Enabled/Save/Select Password University data must be kept secure!
Check available memory Type ALT+escr to bring up the Engineering Screen Check file free to see how much space you have or don’t have
Bulk delete messages Highlight a date, press Menu, Delete Prior Deletes all messages, read or unread prior to the date you’re on
Go to your oldest Unread message Press U while in message list
Go to Previous day’s messages Press P while in message list
Search your messages Press S
Insert your BlackBerry phone number into a message Type mynumber in the body of your message Useful if you don’t know your BlackBerry phone number
Add language accent marks Hold down the letter and scroll left or right Easy AND culturally astute!
Insert the current time into a message Type lt in the body of your message
Insert the current date into a message Type ld in the body of your message
Display recently visited webpages Type I while in the browser app
Add a bookmark Type A while in the browser app
Access your bookmarks Type K while in browser app

Refresh the current webpage Type R while in the browser app
Copy and paste text Hold the ALT key and click the trackwheel, then roll to select text, click trackwheel to copy. Press the menu key and select paste
