Please read the following before logging in to fill out the online form.

Only undergraduate students may apply online at this time.
Cable service is not available in the fraternities, Barnard or in apartments other than Lenfest.
The "student ID" requested is your Social Security Number.
You must supply your own cable connector.
Some buildings have multiple connection jacks. Generally, singles have one connection point, but there are exceptions. Check resident listings below. If your room is included, send an email after you have submitted your online form to cuit-design@columbia.edu with just your name, building room and specific location in the subject line.

Order or Cancel Optional Services

600 W 113: One connection only.

Broadway: The 22, 33, 39 and 40 room lines have an East (E), West (W), North (N) or South (S) connection. In these rooms indicate on which wall you would like your connection. Send information to cuit-design@columbia.edu.

Carman: One connection only.

East Campus: One common area connection only exists except in the two-room flats where an individual connection exists.

Furnald: The 03, 08, 09. 10 and 15 room lines have a left (L) and right (R) connection. If you see more than one connection point in your or room, send information to cuit-design@columbia.edu.

Hogan: One common area connection only exists.

John Jay: Walk through doubles have a front (F) or back (B) connection. Send information to cuit-design@columbia.edu.

Lenfest: Studios have 2 jack connections; one bedroom apartments have 3 jack connections. Send jack number to cuit-design@columbia.edu.

McBain: The "10" line has a front (F) back (B) connection. Be sure to connect your cable to the beige colored box for CUtv. Another cable connection may exist which belongs to Time Warner Cable. Send information to cuit-design@columbia.edu.

River: One connection only.

Ruggles: One connection only.

Schapiro: One connection only.

Watt: The "D" and "O" room lines have a living room (F or front) and bedroom (B or back) connection. The "F" & "L" room lines have three connections: the living room, bedroom (1) and bedroom (2). Be sure to connect your coaxial connector to the beige colored box for CUtv. Another cable connection may exist which belongs to Time Warner Cable. Wien: Walk through doubles have a front (F) back and (B) connection. Email connection. A coaxial cord hangs from the wall in this building.

Woodbridge: All apartments have a living room (LR) and bedroom (BR) connection. Send information to cuit-design@columbia.edu with location. Be sure to connect your coaxial connector to the beige colored box for CUtv. Another cable connection may exist which belongs to Time Warner Cable.

To order optional services online you will need your Columbia UNI. If you are unsure about which optional services you need, call 854-6250.

Rolm Optional Services requests usually take up to 3 to 5 business days to complete. Cable television installation requests usually take 3 to 5 business days, but during peak periods, such as the beginning of the fall semester, requests may take as many as 7 business days.

After completing the Optional Services Form, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail. When your service is ready, you will receive a second e-mail with more information.
