CUtv subscription cable service may be ordered in many residences in individual rooms of some residences or the common area only of others.

CUtv service provides over 100 channels including HBO, HBO Plus, Showtime, Showtime Plus, and seven HD channels. A list of channels can be found on our CUtv Channel Lineup page.

How to Order Cable Service

First verify that you have an AT&T ACUS account or to have one created at the site AT&T ACUS Service account.

The cable television monthly fee of $34.99 is billed to your AT&T ACUS account.

Apply for Service

Housing and Dining Residents of the College and SEAS may subscribe for service by using the optional service online form at Optional Services.

Graduate and General Studies students in the above two buildings will have to contact AT&T ACUS Service to create or find your account for cable, personal security code or other services. The ACUS account is used to bill your monthly cable fee.
  1. Go to the AT&T ACUS Service page for instructions on signing up for an account. Note your account number after you have received it from ACUS.
  2. Read the terms of your contract.
  3. Fill out the Optional Services Form.

Connecting Your CUtv Cable Service

After you have submitted a form for cable service, you will receive a confirmation that your cable service has been connected.

You will need to provide your own cable-ready television and a coaxial cable connector.

Cable TV/VCR Programming Fee

A charge of $25 will be applied to the AT&T ACUS service account of the subscriber to cable television if we have to send a technician to program a TV or VCR for cable service. We can accept a request for this service from the subscriber of the cable service only.

If this service is canceled by one member of a suite or roommate in a double, this fee will be applied before service is restored. New service cannot be implemented at the location unless the fee is paid.

Reconnect Fee for Cancellations or Account Non Payments

If you missed more than one bill payment due date, your cable service will be disconnected. Your service cannot be reconnected until you:
  1. Pay the balance in full on your AT&T ACUS account.
  2. Reapply for cable service after your account has cleared. This usually takes 2 business days.
  3. Pay a $25 reconnect fee.
A $25 reconnect fee is also charged if you or a suite or roommate cancel service some in the same group requests service again in the same room or suite a two month period. New service cannot be implemented at the location unless the fee is paid.

Cable TV Coax Repair

There is a $100 charge for repair to a damaged coax cable. This charge is not applicable for the first month of your service. However, if you report a problem with your cable service to the CUIT Client Service Desk at 212-854-1919 and a technician must replace the coax cable, this charge will be applied to the AT&T ACUS Service account for the subscriber of the service.
