Model 624 RolmPhone

All Model 624 RolmPhones come with two-way speakers for hands-free dialing and talking.

Model 624 RolmPhones come with a display feature (Caller ID) that allows you, in most cases, to see who is calling before you pick up the phone. However, the number of your caller will not be displayed if the call comes from any of the following sources:
  • Cellular phones
  • Coin phones
  • Callers from New Jersey who call via the New York/New Jersey corridor (or dial 10NJB from their home telephones)
  • Customers who pay for unlisted telephone numbers
  • If the caller information is not passed along to the Rolm switch from any of the central offices along the route Instead you may see a trunk number (such as T123) or a combination of numbers, letters, and symbols that make no logical sense.
You may also be surprised when the number on your display phone is different from the number the caller gives you to call back. Some organizations have a system that routes all outgoing calls through a central number within the organization.

The display phone can give you only the information that comes from the Verizon central office. If there is no information sent along with the call, the ROLM switch will simply display your line number and your name, as it normally appears on your display phone.

To order a Model 624 RolmPhone, see Optional Services.
