| This is the first book published with the Random House imprint, Copy P1 of six special hand-colored presentation copies, with an original watercolor drawing by Rockwell Kent who did the illustrations for the volume. The copy is inscribed by Kent, Bennett Cerf, the publisher, and others associated with its production, to Elmer Adler, who was responsible for composition and press work. On the colophon page appears Kent's drawing of a house that became the company's logo. An edition of 1,470 copies and ninety-five copies covered with fabric was printed. In addition to Adler's copy the Library also has Bennett Cerf's copy, P4. | |
