One of the few complete sixteenth century literary manuscripts in an author's holograph, A Morall Fabletalke is a translation and an adaptation of Aesop's Fables. The volume also includes original fables by Golding, the Elizabethan translator best known for the fine style and felicity of phrase in his edition of Ovid, first published in 1565 and 1567.
