The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences PhD and MA Convocation Ceremony will be held this afternoon at 4:30 p.m. on the South Lawns of the Morningside Campus underneath the tents. Please come prepared for any type of weather. It is forecasted to rain this afternoon, so please bring an umbrella and a jacket if necessary. The ceremony is held rain or shine. Due to the pending weather, there will be no formal Candidate Procession. Graduates are to arrive on Butler Lawn for seating beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Baccalaureate Service is being held this morning at 9:30 a.m. in St. Paul's Chapel for all undergraduate students in Columbia College, the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, the School of General Studies, and Barnard College. Guests of undergraduate students are encouraged to attend or watch a live webcast.

Campus preparations have begun on the Morningside campus. Builders will be on site beginning this week through the beginning of Commencement Week constructing all of the bleachers and staging for University Commencement on May 18th.

The University’s Commencement Ceremony will be held outdoors.  It is forecasted to rain, so please bring an umbrella and jacket.  The seating area is not under cover of any kind.  For guests who feel uncomfortable sitting outdoors during inclement weather, a live webcast of the ceremony is available on this website.
