Commencement 2010

Event Hosts play a key role in providing guest service to the graduates, families and friends attending events on our campus. Event Hosts wear Commencement polo shirts (provided by the Commencement Office) so they are easily identifiable for assistance. We are seeking Event Hosts for University Commencement, as well as for the Baccalaureate Service and various individual School Ceremonies over the course of the week.

Please complete an Event Host Volunteer Form or send an email to commencement@columbia.edu if you are interested in signing up online to volunteer as an Event Host. The volunteer deadline is Friday, April 5, 2013.

To volunteer as an event host for commencement related ceremonies at the Medical Center, please contact Natalie Ross at nr2344@columbia.edu.

Please note only faculty and staff are eligible to volunteer.

MARSHALS

Commencement 2010

Marshals play an important role in the University Commencement ceremony and Baccalaureate Service, organizing and ushering both the academic procession and the degree candidate procession. They wear academic regalia and participate directly in the program. Please complete a Marshal Volunteer Form or send an email to commencement@columbia.edu if you are interested in signing up online to volunteer as a Marshal.

The deadline to volunteer as a Marshal will be Friday, April 5, 2012 if you need to order regalia. If you do not need to order regalia, the deadline will be determined in early spring.

Please note that no degree candidate may serve as a Marshal unless appointed as a Student Marshal by his or her school.
