PH.D.CONVOCATION

This ceremony celebrates the accomplishments of all Ph.D. candidates in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Class of 2013. Students' names are read as they process across the stage.

Date: Sunday, May 19, 2013

Time: 3:10 p.m. (Seating begins at 2:30 p.m. Candidates’ procession will begin at 3:10 p.m.)

Location: South Lawn, Morningside Campus

Speakers: Carlos J. Alonso, Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and Vice President for Graduate Education, Columbia University, and Sebastian Thrun, Research Professor of Computer Science, Stanford University; Google Fellow; CEO, Udacity

Reception: Immediately following the Candidate and Faculty procession to Hamilton Lawn

Tickets: Not Required

Caps and Gowns: Required

Diplomas: Following the graduation ceremonies, diplomas for May 2013 graduates will be mailed to the “Diploma Address” on file in SSOL. For more information, see the GSAS website.

 

 

M.A. CONVOCATION

This ceremony celebrates the accomplishments of all M.A. candidates in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Class of 2013. Students' names are read as they process across the stage.

Time: 6:30 p.m. (Seating begins at 5:45 p.m. Candidates’ procession will begin at 6:10 p.m.)
