Family and friends of Columbia's graduates are an integral part of the University Commencement celebration. Each guest over the age of three will need a ticket to enter the Morningside Campus on the morning of the ceremony.
Guest tickets to the University Commencement ceremony will be made available to degree candidates attending the ceremony. The impressive number of graduates, along with the spatial and security constraints of campus, necessitates a limit of tickets per student. Tickets allow entrance into Morningside Campus on Commencement Day however they do not guarantee a seat. Seats are on a first come first served basis, they are unassigned, and cannot be reserved. Degree candidates are responsible for distributing their requested tickets to their guests prior to Commencement Day.
Guests may enter campus starting at 8:30 a.m. and must present their tickets for scanning or collection in order to enter campus.
-
Tickets are required for entry. Tickets can only be scanned once, and guests will not be permitted to reenter campus after exiting.
