MASTERS AND DOCTORAL CONVOCATIONS

Two Masters Convocations are held by Teachers College to honor the achievements of degree candidates.  Candidates are recognized individually, and the TC Medals for Distinguished Service are presented at each ceremony.

MASTERS DEGREE CEREMONY I:

HEALTH & BEHAVIOR STUDIES; HUMAN DEVELOPMENT; INTERNATIONAL & TRANSCULTURAL STUDIES; MATHEMATICS, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY;  ORGANIZATION AND LEADERSHIP

Date: Tuesday, May 15, 2012

Time: 9:30 a.m. Guest seating opens at 8:30 a.m.

Location: Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Avenue

Speaker: TBD

Reception: Immediately following the ceremony at Teachers College, in Zankel Main Hall, Everett Lounge, 179 GDH, and Russell Courtyard.

Tickets: Required. Students must register online. Please check the Teachers College Commencement site for dates and deadlines.

Caps and Gowns: Required

Diplomas: M.A., M.S., and ED.M. diplomas will be available for pick-up on Wednesday, May 16 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Room 138 Horace Mann. Thereafter, diplomas will be available in the Registrar's Office during regular office hours. Ed.D. diplomas will be available six weeks following the date of completion.

ARTS & HUMANITIES, BIOBEHAVIORAL SCIENCES, COUNSELING & CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY, CURRICULUM & TEACHING, EDUCATION POLICY & SOCIAL ANALYSIS

Date: Tuesday, May 15, 2012

Time: 2:00 p.m. Guest seating opens at 1:00 p.m.

Location: Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Avenue

DOCTORAL HOODING CEREMONY

Doctoral graduates are hooded by Provost Thomas James, and their accomplishments are celebrated by President Susan Fuhrman, Trustees, and Faculty. The Teachers College Medal for Distinguished Service to Education is presented.
