Columbia offers an abundant array of academic programs and resources, drawing on its exceptional faculty and its presence in New York City, the center of the art world.
The Visual Arts Master of Fine Arts Program at the School of the Arts attracts emerging artists of unusual promise from around the world. Rigorous programs in art history and art education at the undergraduate and graduate levels support distinct facets of the arts.
The Miriam and Ira D. Wallach Art Gallery presents exhibitions and related programming that reflect Columbia’s diversity of approaches to the arts and its high standards for research and instruction. Beyond campus, Columbia’s commitment to exposing students in all disciplines to the arts is embodied in Passport to New York, a free museum program that offers all undergraduate and graduate students admission at 34 museums in the city.
