About Us

Founded in the spring of 1995, Columbia University’s Asian American Alliance—affectionately known as AAA—is Columbia’s oldest (and only!) pan-Asian organization on campus. AAA is a student political and cultural group that serves Columbia’s Asian American community and operates at the nexus of community engagement and advocacy work. As one of the largest organizations at Columbia University, AAA represents undergraduate and graduate students across all schools and disciplines. We host monthly events for our general body, including volunteering opportunities, social bonding, political discussions, and movie screenings! Our two biggest events of the year highlight Asian American culture and community, and all proceeds are donated to charitable organizations.

AAA strives to promote dialogue and awareness on campus, build community and collective joy, and connect Columbia to the broader New York City Asian and Asian American community. We also seek to collaborate with all student groups of color on campus, cultivating friendship and mobilizing in solidarity.
