Directions to Columbia University's Morningside Heights Campus

Directions from Grand Central Station

1) Take the Shuttle (S) from Grand Central Station to Times Square
2) Follow directions from Times Square below...

Directions from Penn Station

1) Take the 1, 2, 3, or 9 train uptown. If you choose the 1 or 9 train, skip to step 3 below, otherwise, if you have chosen to take train 2 or 3, proceed to step 2. (Note: It is faster to take the 2 or 3 train but the trip involves an additional train transfer)
2) Take the 2 or 3 train uptown to 96st and get off to transfer onto the 1 or 9 train.
3) Take the 1 or 9 train uptown to 116th st and get off.
4) You are now at Columbia University's Morningside Heights Campus.

Directions from Port Authority

1) After getting off your bus, follow the signs until it leads you into the Times Square train station.
2) Follow directions from Times Square below...

Directions from NYU (even though NYU students probably already know how to get here...)

1) Take the N or R train to Times Square.
2) Follow directions from Times Square below...

Directions to Alfred Lerner Hall

1) After getting off at the 116th station, walk south along Broadway until you see 115th st to your right and an open entrance to the Columbia Campus on your left. If you see 114th st, you have walked too far. If you see any street number higher than 116, you are walking in the incorrect direction.
2) Once you have reached the entrance, ALfred Lerner Hall is that exact building to your left on the side of the path furthest from the 116th station. There is an entrance into Lerner Hall from Broadway however it is only accessible to Columbia students. You must enter from the front entrance facing the inside of campus.
3) Turn left into campus. Go through the gates and enter campus. You should see a giant wall of glass to your right. That is Lerner Hall. Continue heading straight until you see the front entrance to Lerner Hall on your right and enter Lerner Hall.
4) Immediately as you enter Lerner Hall, You enter a lobby area. You should see a small enclave in the opposite corner of the lobby. That is Lerner Box Office. Please proceed to the box office for check-in.
Note: In case you get lost, there should be people walking around the Columbia Campus wearing "APAAM: Asia Pacific American" t-shirts. They can direct you to where you need to go.
