Welcome to the Columbia ACLU Committee on Disciplinary Procedures (CDP) web site. The CDP is committed to protecting students' civil liberties, academic freedom, and right to fairness within the University's disciplinary procedures. It was formed in response to the passage of the Sexual Misconduct Policy and its disciplinary procedure. However, the group does not limit its demands for fair discipline merely to the issue of sexual misconduct, or any other special class of disciplinary infractions. Instead, the group aims for a comprehensive, uniform, and fair disciplinary procedure--for all infractions, for all students.
