his past February, Columbia's Postcrypt Art Gallery hosted “The Body Show” in the basement of St. Paul's Chapel. Artists explored the human body in a variety of forms and abstractions through photographs, pencil drawings, and oil paintings. Co-sponsored by Productive Outreach for Women, the show sought to examine the body through an untraditional and varied lens, and to question the body's relation to power, beauty, and exploitation. The photographs of two of the show's artists, Justin Crocker and Esther S White, are showcased.

Founded in 1989, the Postcrypt Art Gallery is run and curated by undergraduates. The gallery is dedicated to exhibiting undergraduate work in its space in St. Paul's basement. Upcoming shows include “Instant Gratification” (March 3rd), “Distortion” (March 31st) and “The Other Show” (April 14th).
