Public Benefits

Community Service Society of New York
The Community Service Society of New York trains social service providers like ourselves, and provides us with current publications and other resources on the public benefits system in New York City .   

New York City Human Resources Administration
The Human Resources Administration runs all of the City's public assistance programs (cash assistance, Medicaid, and Food Stamps). 

Legal Services

West Side SRO Law Project
The West Side SRO Law Project represents tenants in court and before administrative agencies, among other services. 

Urban Justice Center
The Urban Justice Center runs Homeless Outreach Prevention Programs throughout New York City and has represented many of our clients at fair hearings. 

Shelter / Housing

Center for Urban Community Services
CUCS is a great resource for those interested in the New York/New York supportive housing program (supportive housing for single adults with mental illness). 

Coalition for the Homeless
The Coalition for the Homeless is the court appointed monitor of New York City's public single adult shelter system.  They handle shelter complaints, among other services. 

New York City Department of Homeless Services
This is the website for the city agency that runs the public shelter system, for both families and single adults.
