AIChE Internship Position Available
The national Branch of AIChE is seeking a part-time student intern for their Volunteer & Membership Activities (VMA) department. This position is available for the entire school year and will be approximately 20 hours a week. The hourly rate is $12.00. Responsibilities:
- Collect information on chemical engineering graduate school programs.
- Research large companies that offer chemical engineering internships for updating postings on their internship webpage.
- Coordinate logistics for the pilot cities of a new young professional initiative
- Assist in maintenance of their Certificate Program.
- Network with regional liaisons to provide national support for regional conferences in the Spring.
- Work with IT department to coordinate and update internship webpage.
Qualifications:
- A current Chemical Engineer major is preferred – Sophomore/Junior.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Working knowledge of MS-Office – Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Working knowledge of Youtube and Facebook.
- Strong organizational, communication and writing skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines; strong team orientation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
