of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated! On April
22, 1922, the Legendary Lambda Chapter of Alpha Kappa
Alpha Sorority, Inc. became the first African-American
sorority to be chartered in New York, NY. For the past
eighty-seven years, the women of Lambda Chapter have diligently
served the Harlem Community as well as the six schools
on the chapter's charter: Baruch College, City College, 
Columbia University, Hunter College, 
New York University, and Touro College.
