of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated! On April
22, 1922, the Legendary Lambda Chapter of Alpha Kappa
Alpha Sorority, Inc. became the first African-American
sorority to be chartered in New York, NY. For the past
eighty years, the women of Lambda Chapter have diligently
served the Harlem Community as well as the five schools
on the chapter's charter.
