Vanessa
Scherrer
Alliance Program Director
Doctor Vanessa Scherrer
has been the Director of the Alliance Program since the Spring
2007. Her mandate has included launching the Alliance joint
endowment at Columbia University, expanding the outreach of
the Program and building new academic joint endeavors such
as joint professorships or the first Dual PhD Program in Political
Science.
A member of the faculty of the Columbia School of International and Public Affairs,
Vanessa Scherrer teaches European Politics and Qualitative Methods. A specialist
of Political Sociology, her research interests include political behavior, political
socialization processes and experimental methodology. She holds a PhD in Political
Science from Sciences Po, Paris.
Vanessa Scherrer lives in New York City with her husband and their three
children.
