Based
in New-York, Pierre Debray has been in charge of Calyon’s
corporate and investment banking activities in Latin America
for the last seven years. As such he oversees directly the
bank’s operations in the various countries in the region
where it has a local presence, namely Brazil, Mexico, Argentina,
Chile, and he is also responsible for the bank’s strategy
in the Region as a whole, carried out mainly from its New-York
based Calyon Americas platform.
Mr.
Debray started his career in 1988 at Credit Lyonnais
New-York in the Treasury & Foreign Exchange Department.
He returned to Paris in 1990 to join the Project Finance
Team as Manager of Mining & Primary Metallurgy Project & Structured
Finance, and then spent a few years working for Credit Lyonnais
in Brazil. Pierre Debray was appointed Head of Credit Risk
in New-York at the end of 1996 before moving to Paris in
1999 where he was in charge of the supervision and coordination
of the Central and Eastern European Network of Credit Lyonnais.
Mr. Debray holds an MS in Economic and Engineering Systems
from Stanford University. He is a graduate of the French
School of Economics (ENSAE) and Ecole Polytechnique, Paris
(1987). He is married and the father of six children.
