Dr.
David Jestaz is a professor of Economics. He has taught
in France and the United States before joining the
EDF Group as the Director of the Corporate University in
Paris in 2007.
From
1995 and to 2002, David Jestaz has taught at Sciences-Po,
Ecole
Normale Superieure and ENSAE while conducting
a PhD
Dissertation at OFCE-Sciences-Po in Paris on "The stock
market and growth". From 2002 to 2007, David Jestaz
was Visiting Professor at Sarah Lawrence College (NY), Drew
University (NJ) and then Professor of International
and Public Affairs at Columbia University (NY). While at
Columbia University, he was also affiliated with the Earth
Institute's Center on Capitalism and Society (CCS), and was
Director of the Alliance Program from 2004 to 2007. David
Jestaz economic researches are focused on macroeconomic
issues, such as the specificity of European unemployment
compared to Anglo-American countries and the relationship
between stock market performance and economic stagnation.
On these topics, he has published and worked since 1999 with
Edmund Phelps, The Founding Director of the Center on Capitalism
and Society, winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics 2006.
In early 2007, David was appointed Director of EDF Group
Corporate University in Paris which he has led on international
standards. On June 23rd, 2007, the European Foundation for
Management Development has awarded the international accreditation
CLIP to the EDF Corporate University and the Excellence in
Practice Award for one of its leadership program. David Jestaz
also lectures on Globalization at the School of Communication
at Sciences Po.
