Columbia opened a new Employment Information Center at Broadway and 125th Street earlier this year. An extension of the University’s human resources department, the center provides assistance in job searches at the University and hopes to boost employment opportunities for residents of northern Manhattan. “As more community residents tap into this resource, we envision it becoming a hub of economic opportunity that will benefit both the community and the University,” said President Lee C. Bollinger.
