The 21st-Century City and Its Values: Urbanism, Toleration, and Equality
New cities, and new kinds of cities, are emerging in the 21st century,
many at a rate so precipitous that existing ideas of the city may soon
be largely irrelevant. In this symposia, part of the C250 celebrations,
distinguished scholars, architects, urban planners, and other expert
commentators explore new kinds of cities emerging in the 21st century.
Mapping Art and Architecture in Venice
The site offers a virtual exploration of some of Venice's treasured
buildings, including digital re-creations of interiors that no longer

World Leaders Forum
Each fall during the United Nations General Assembly, Columbia
University in the City of New York serves as a center for public debate,
welcoming world leaders to its campus for a series of public lectures,
roundtables and special events. The annual World Leaders Forum, attended
by students, faculty and invited guests, encourages open discussion and
greater understanding of the most pressing economic, political and
social challenges of our time.
