Evangelion 1.11: You Can (Not) Advance

Saturday, 24 September - 9:00pm

This is the first film in the Rebuild of Evangelion project, which is a retelling of the original anime, except this time with more time and money than the makers could ever want, which translates to fantastic movies! If you've ever seen the original series Neon Genesis Evangelion, you know that while it was great and is iconic, it had a lackluster and confusing ending due to time and budget constraints. This retelling involves all the major players behind the original anime, with the goal of the project to make the story more accessible to everyone. There are four films planned, "with the first three films providing new scenes, settings, and characters as well as newly available 3D CG technology and the fourth presenting a completely new conclusion to the story." Basically, if you have never seen the original series, this is a fantastic way to see it and understand the story, and you should come to the screening and watch it! And if you have seen the series, you know that a retelling with more money and new graphics is awesome, so you should also come to the screening and watch it! And if you've already seen the film, you know its awesome and you should come to the screening and watch it! So essentially I expect everyone to be at the screening to watch it :D And tell all your friends too! Its completely free, and we want as many people there as possible! The theater holds 300+ and we'd love to get close to capacity!
