we recommend that those looking for hostel accommodation stay at the Hostelling International youth hostel, located at 891 Amsterdam Avenue. It is also an easy 10-15 minute walk to the University, or 2 stops on the 1 subway line. The youth hostel and the Marrakech hotel are just a couple of blocks away from each other. Accommodation is in small dorms of between 4 and 12 people (both coed and single sex are available), with shared bathrooms. You will have a luggage locker (please bring your own padlock, or buy one in the hostel shop). Towels and bed linens are provided. To book go to the Hostelling International website. Once there you can either book at regular rates of $32-$37/night, plus membership fee of $3/night. We recommend booking early as this will allow you to secure a place in a small dorm of 4 people rather than 12! contact reservation@hinewyork.org or telephone 212-932-2300 ext 155 for further information |
