Why won't the
accommodation website accept my registration?
Online problems usually stem from people charging over their daily limit
or not changing their address on the fifth page to match their card's
billing address. If these suggestions do not address the problem, please
contact conference housing
(phone number: 212-854-0365).
Is the
conference registration fee included in the price of the accommodation?
No, the conference registration fee must be paid separately. We plan
to post the link to do this in the next couple of weeks.
Can I book a
double/single room?
Yes, both are available. There are two single beds in each room.
Can I pay online
with Mastercard / American Express / Visa / Discover / JCB
Yes, by all of these credit
cards. As long as a debit card is branded with a Visa, MasterCard or
AMEX logo it should be fine as well. We also accept electronic bank
transfers from US banks.
Do I have to
pay online?
You will need to fill in the accommodation booking form online, but
you can mail in your payment if you prefer.
The online form should be printed and mailed together with your credit
card information OR with a money order in US Dollars. These should be
obtainable from any Chase or HSBC bank. The conference housing office
does not accept personal checks unless they are drawn in dollars, from
a US bank. Payments should be mailed to:

Conference Housing,
2960 Broadway,
Mail Code 3003,
New York, NY 10027.

Can I and my

Yes, there is a 'suitemate'
field on the campus accommodation booking form. The guest can enter
the persons name and we will match them up based on those requests.
Is there a discount
if two people share a room?
Afraid not. The
rate is fixed per person to cover dining and processing fees.

on the 22nd and 26th. These are intended to accommodate international
participants with flights arriving or leaving before and after the conference.
Where
do I check in?
Conference registration
will be in the Low Library, but you can check in directly to your accommodation
at Carman Hall. Directions and instructions will be emailed to you by
the conference housing office in mid-May.
Can I
check in earlier than 3pm?
Not usually because
facilities need to clean rooms. However, we will try to check-in guests
in as they arrive, where possible. We will be happy to hold your luggage
if we cannot check you in before 3:00p.m.
Is there somewhere I can store bags while waiting to check in / after
checking out.
Yes, you will be
able to store luggage until 6p.m., later if need be.
Is there internet access and do people need to bring an ethernet cable?
There is free internet access, but to be sure you should bring an ethernet

room. Ethernet cables can be bought in the University bookstore. Wireless
is also available in the lounges on each floor, and there are two public
terminals in the lobby of Carman Hall.
