The Archaeology Volunteer Lab Join us for volunteer labwork. We have a number of ongoing projects with volunteer opportunities. Contact Brian Boyd for more information at bb2305@columbia.edu Some of our current lab projects include: The Clarence Young Collection The Columbia Collection of Mediterranean Artifacts Dr. Ralph Solecki's Projects (1980s) Professor Solecki's discoveries over the years Upper Paleolithic material from Shanidar Cave, northern Iraq Labwork on campus related to Rose Solecki's material Open Hours in the Osteology Lab The osteology lab, 865 Schermerhorn Extension, is open to all students with an interest in human and other primate bones. No previous coursework or experience required. The lab will be open for student explorations the first and last Friday of each month from 4pm to 6pm.
