Page Knox is an Americanist whose work explores the significant expansion of illustration in print media during the Gilded Age, examining how the medium changed the general aesthetic in American art in the late nineteenth century. She is a contributing author to a textbook on the history of Illustration which is currently in process. Page is a Contractual Lecturer for the Department of American Art and the Education Department at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In addition to her monthly public gallery talks on specific aspects of the American Wing and the European Paintings Collection, she also lectures on special exhibitions to supporters and patrons of the museum.
